Executive management

Peter Zvara, M.D, Ph.D. (co-founder) has served as acting Chief Executive Officer since our inception in August 2006. Dr. Zvara is an Associate Professor of Surgery in the Division of Urology at the University of Vermont, College of Medicine. Dr. Zvara’s research focuses on studies of dysfunctional voiding and sensory innervation of the lower urinary tract. He has established and managed research labs and scientific teams at McGill University and the University of Toronto, and has actively participated in pre-clinical and clinical trials of therapies designed to treat lower urinary tract dysfunction. Dr. Zvara holds M.D. and Ph.D. degrees from Comenius University School of Medicine in Bratislava, Slovakia, where he also completed Urology residency training.

Katarina Zvarova, M. D., Ph. D (co-founder) has served as our Senior Vice President for Scientific Affairs and Research Development since August 2006. Dr. Zvarova holds an M.D. in Pediatrics and a Ph.D. in Neurourology from Comenius University Medical School in Bratislava, Slovakia. Dr. Zvarova is currently a Research Assistant Professor in the Department of Surgery at the University of Vermont, College of Medicine, where she is fully committed to basic science research on the mechanisms of urinary function and dysfunction. Dr. Zvarova is responsible for developing and executing the company’s scientific objectives, as well as directing Telemedtest’s research and clinical testing activities.

John Brohan (co-founder) has served as our Chief Technology Officer from August 2006 to December 2008. Mr. Brohan has more than 35 years experience in creating unique Information Technology structures for private companies, and not-for-profit institutions. An expert in the Labview data-flow language, he has developed specialized interface applications for multiple measurement and monitoring technologies for more than twenty distinct products and services, including the Information Technology infrastructure that underlies the Sonouroflow system. Mr. Brohan holds a B.Sc. from the University of Reading, England, and a Ph.L. from Universitas Gregoriana, Rome. Mr. Brohan is a founder and owner of Traders Micro a computer consulting company specializing in scientific and medical data acquisition and programming.

Telemedtest, LLC developed originally as a spin off from the University of Vermont (UVM), and continues to closely collaborate with the UVM Office of Technology Transfer.
